To the north of college park is the neighbourhood of Riveroaks. This area is bounded by Upper Middle Rd in the south, Dundas to the north, Trafalgar road in the east and sixteen mile creek to the west. This is an area that is undergoing significant development at the moment, with the addition of Oak Park – a neighbourhood within a neighbourhood. The original Riveroaks consisted of mainly single family homes built some 20 years ago. Oak Park is a new development consisting of condo apartment buildings and Georgian style, 3 storey detached and semi detached houses built around laneways with garages and driveways hidden at the rear of the properties. This neighbourhood is reminiscent of areas of London in the UK and is popular with professionals and young families. Outside of Oak Park the Riveroaks housing stock provides affordable accommodation for growing families and is, in my opinion, one of the more underrated neighbourhoods in Oakville.
Properties currently on the market in this neighbourhood range from $249,900 for a one bedroom apartment to $1,998,900 for a 4 bedroom, 5 bathroom property with 6400 sq ft of living space overlooking a wooded ravine.
